Lee Weng Choy is a leading international writer and art critic, and is Artistic Co-Director of The Substation - Singapore's first independent contemporary arts centre. Lee has organised/co-organised numerous
international art exhibitions and conferences, the most recent being the 10th annual Performance Studies International conference, 'Perform: State:
Interrogate', in Singapore in June 2004.

Marcel Odenbach
pioneer German video artist

One of the foremost European pioneers of video art in the mid-1970s, Odenbach has remained at the forefront of new developments. He has also
maintained a life-long commitment to airing social and political issues in his practice and has curated Changing the point of view; African Video Art.

This talk is presented in association with the major exhibition at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery Marcel Odenbach: installations 2000-2003>videos 1978 -1995.

Marcel Odenbach's visit is a Govett-Brewster initiative and is supported by Goethe - Institut, Wellington
