Running from Sunday 15 to Saturday 22 January, Driftwood & Sand 2005

Co-ordinator and artist Donald Buglass is anticipating plenty of entries in the rapidly growing event, "Everyone is welcome and I'm expecting another strong mix of artists and lay-people here building fantastic art". Any additional materials are kept to a minimum. All entrants need is a little imagination!

Winners are chosen by public vote, and prizes include glacier tours, luxury and rustic accommodation, scenic flights and of course the coveted Driftwood & Sand Trophy!

Driftwood & Sand 2004 was a great success with an amazing and diverse display from 48 registered entries and plenty of spontaneous work constructed by inspired viewers. 2004 overall winner was a giant fish, "Hooked on Hoki" by local artist Charlotte Fuller and Stefan Fuhrer, showing plenty of creative flare. "Driftwood & Sand is a great experience - a whole different world", said Charlotte "and we're already planning for 2005".
