Creative New Zealand has released Customer Data Access Guidelines to help New Zealand arts organisations access and manage their customer data.

Developed primarily as an audience development resource, the guidelines aim to encourage best practice by bringing together and interpreting the various pieces of legislation affecting the collection and use of personal data.

Tim Roberts from ARTS Australia researched and compiled this document, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, Department of Internal Affairs and more than 60 arts organisations, venues and ticketing companies took part in the research and the development of the guidelines.
