Creative Napier is the Community Arts Council for Napier. It is set up to support and promote Napier/Hawke's Bay artists, craftspeople and performers of all disciplines and styles along with the related venues and groups. * running a gallery/shop that local artists etc can hire space in or sell works through;
* facilitating events such as festivals to give more exposure to local arts;
*administering small grants and information/advice about other funding avenues;
* disseminating information about local art happenings through our newsletter and website;
* maintaining a comprehensive database of local artists/art groups and national arts contacts;
* holding information about art events such as competitions;
the Hawke's Bay "Art Trail" brochure of visitable artists and galleries (which Creative Napier had a large hand in producing);
* linking from our website onto local artists' sites;
* displaying local artists' flyers and cards at our gallery and shop;
* a noticeboard in the gallery and bulletin board on the website.
