The Cottage is here to take a fresh and fabulous look at the stereotypes and misconceptions about queer culture in the capital. This is a new comedy written by and starring Cooper Amai and Kate Fitzroy, two openly out Wellington actors who are ready to attack and embrace 'gay' labeling.Set in the toilets of a magnificent gay bar, The Cottage takes its title from the European term cottaging - "scoring someone in the loo".

The Cottage explores character extremes of the queer culture and brings them to life on stage - from the dizziest Twinkie to the meanest Dyke . . . and the entire spectrum in between.

"She's 'LESBIAN', like being part of some kind of saggy-titted, incestuous tribe of sexually explorative women who despise men, are exceptionally hairy and say things like: 'I'm SO hungry for your wet pussy'."
