On 14 November, Christchurch radio station RDU is launching ARTCORE - a guide to local gallery happenings. Twice weekly on a Tuesday and Saturday morning, ARTCORE will offer listeners and web surfers complete coverage of all art events: indoor, outdoor, public, dealer, openings and closings. As the show will also have an interview component, RDU would like to hear from any curators, dealers, artists, critics, writers, students and journalists who'd like to contribute to the show.On 14 November, Christchurch radio station RDU is launching ARTCORE - a guide to local gallery happenings. Twice weekly on a Tuesday and Saturday morning, ARTCORE will offer listeners and web surfers complete coverage of all art events: indoor, outdoor, public, dealer, openings and closings. As the show will also have an interview component, RDU would like to hear from any curators, dealers, artists, critics, writers, students and journalists who'd like to contribute to the show.RDU has a long association with the visual arts, and are constantly being fed art-based material and working with festivals, galleries, tertiary institutions as well as specific artists who have approached them. This abundance of content, and their desire to support the visual arts, has led them to create a consolidated art programme.

RDU wants to see a rise in gallery attendance, informed discussion and general community interest in what Christchurch as a historical centre for the arts has to offer.

Christchurch - this is your opportunity to let RDU know what you want ARTCORE to be. To give them suggestions, put your hand up to be a contributor or offer an idea, email arts@rdu.org.nz.
