Catherine David Designs has been selected to feature in the Petite Rooms at the upcoming Decoration + Design trade fair at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 19 - 22 July 2007. Catherine David is the only New Zealander to be invited to exhibit at this prestigious showcase.

Catherine David Designs will gain unparalleled exposure to over 17,000 trade visitors including interior designers, architects and select retailers as well as 3,000 expected public visitors.

"Being an invited guest is a huge honour for me and one that I am really excited about. The Petite Rooms are internationally known and a great opportunity to showcase Catherine David Designs with a twist," says Catherine.

One of the most popular attractions within the Fair, the 12 'Petite Rooms' are small rooms that offer the viewer a visual snapshot within a picture frame setting.

The 12 selected designers have been given four themes to develop around the central theme of 'About Time': Enduring, Ephemeral, Speed, Slow. 'About Time' challenges the designer to explore how space and materials are modified by the physical and psychological reality of time. Catherine David will pursue the 'About Time'' theme, 'Slow'.

Decoration + Design is Australia's most comprehensive soft furnishings and interior products trade fair. Exhibitors on show include high-end fabric, furniture, soft furnishings, floor coverings, lights, decorative accessories, and objects d'art and homeware.

Decoration + Design is co-located with FURNITEX, Australasia's largest all encompassing furniture and furnishings Trade Fair.

Catherine David Designs are functional home interior and exterior items that are witty and intelligent in style, and always eye-catching in their originality and presentation. Catherine David's design ability is showcased in a variety of mediums including table lamps, light fittings, photo displays, tableware, stationery, shower curtains and other exterior items including the Nouveau range of Parker Bin and Post Box.

Catherine David Designs was winner of the New Zealand 2005 Home & Entertaining Design Award, Bathroom section for the Splash! shower/bath curtains.

Catherine David Designs currently exports worldwide and is working with Essenze International Marketing Limited to further develop the US market.
