Emma Wright is one of New Zealand's most successful artists, but you will not see her work hanging in Te Papa or discussed by pointy-headed critics.
Wright is successful because she manages to sell her paintings, lots of them, and makes a reasonable living from doing so. And she has been painting for only two years. The Wellington artist attributes her rapid rise in popularity to running her career like a business.
