Now these two renowned dancers are taking their show Fishnet on the road following a sell - out season in Wellington. A national tour from September 24th to October 15th 2006 will dazzle audiences in Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington.

They have received funding from Creative New Zealand for what has proved to be an exciting, innovative and popular dance work.
At times hilarious - at times deeply moving - Fishnet is a rapturous exploration of the expressive body by two of New Zealand's celebrated senior contemporary dancers.

The work provides a great forum for these two wily women to present their beliefs, challenges and political debate about the many issues around dance, age, what to do with a wealth of wisdom, the invisibility of the older woman and the politics of seniority in the arts in New Zealand.

Kilda and Lyne have worked with many of the big names in dance and theatre; between them their bodies contain over fifty years of being seen and contributing to the canon of contemporary New Zealand dance.
The music is by award winning group Plan 9 with Janet Roddick and the direction by Madeline McNamara. Lighting by Jennifer Lal; Videography by Steven Bain.

Research has shown that woman over 40 are the greatest supporters of live theatre; these performers afford the opportunity to reflect the experiences of this age and gender group back upon itself: they seek to defy the invisibility that overtakes 'mature' women in our youth obsessed culture.
