So movies can save the world (or prevent Japan and China from killing each other)? TIM WONG thinks so, or at least he did after getting to the bottom of the Asia Film Festival Aotearoa.

Cinema - what would we do without it? We wouldn't have dreams for a start - no yellow brick road nostalgia; no Maltese Falcon; no Audrey Hepburn in a little black dress. Nor would we have popcorn. Or overpaid actors. In trying political times such as these, a world without movies to look forward too wouldn't survive under the stress of war, famine or disease either.
