Gus Fisher have put together an interesting and varied public programme to celebrate The Auckland Festival of Photography. They will also be hosting the historical exhibition George Chance: Improving on Nature and Perpetual Verdure: Landscape Photographs from The University of Auckland Art Collection. Also photographers Margaret Dawson, Anne Shelton and others will speak about their practice. See below for Public Programme details...

Gus Fisher have put together an interesting and varied public programme to celebrate The Auckland Festival of Photography. Saturday 27 May @ 2pm Ron Brownson, Senior Curator of New Zealand and Pacific Art, Auckland Art Gallery andMARGRETA CHANCE, granddaughter of the late George Chance Senior will speak at the opening of

Saturday 3 June @ 2pm Christchurch photographers MARGARET DAWSON and JOHN DEAN will be in the gallery to discuss their contemporary photographic practice

@ 3pm WAYNE BARRAR, Director of Photography at Massey University College of Creative Arts will speak about his photographs in Perpetual Verdure and discuss themes in his landscape photography.

Saturday 10 June @ 2pm ANN SHELTON, lecturer in photography at the Manukau School of Visual Arts will talk about the making of her latest series of photographs A Library to Scale.

Friday 23 June @ 12pm Photographer PETER PERYER will talk about his practice
