Her compositional background fuses traditional classical technique with an interest in jazz, popular, rock and world music.

On Thursday 19 July at the Rising Sun in Auckland there will be a showcase of her work to help raise funds for the trip.

The performance will feature a 13-piece mixed classical ensemble, contemporary dancers, a short film and more.
