Auckland City intends to undertake a streetscape urban design project in three key areas of the central business district. These areas are:
Auckland City intends to undertake a streetscape urban design project in three key areas of the central business district. These areas are:
1) Quay Street between Lower Hobson Street and the proposed arena site

2) Lorne Street between Victoria Street and Mayoral Drive including Rutland Street; Wellesley Street between Lorne Street and the Auckland Art Gallery and Kitchener Street between Mayoral Drive and Khartoum Place

3) Queen Street between Customs Street and Karangahape Rd.

Construction budgets, including contingencies, for the project areas are:

Quay Street - $4,400,000
Lorne Street - $500,000 (the construction budget will be reconsidered once the concept design is approved.)
Queen Street (the construction budget will be considered once the concept design is approved.)

Expression of interest are sought from well resourced architecture, landscape architecture or urban design practices or consortia with proven skills and experience in the design and implementation of comparable projects.
