Art students from five of Artstation’s courses are showcasing their talents in exhibitions to celebrate the results of a year’s hard work.

Art students from five of Artstation’s courses are showcasing their talents in exhibitions to celebrate the results of a year’s hard work.

The Artstation Foundation Course (from 16 to 20 November), Painter’s Progress (from 23 to 27 November), Painter’s Studio (from 30 November to 4 December), Eight Gestures in the Theatre of Clay (from 7 to 11 December) and A Glass Studio (from 14 to 18 December) exhibitions show a selection of work by students who have participated in year-long art courses throughout 2010.

Students have been encouraged to develop a professional and dedicated approach to their art through the development of a personal philosophy and practice, says tutor Matthew Browne.

“The exhibition is both daunting and exciting, and introduces the students to the process of exhibiting, from curatorial selection and hanging, to invitations and cataloguing,” says Mr Browne.

 “The exhibition also reflects a turning point in our careers as painters with most of us committed to continue down this path as professional artists,” says Painter’s Studio student, Lee Parker.

In 2011 Artstation is offering six, year-long courses: Painter’s Progress, Painter’s Studio, The Artstation Foundation course, A Glass Studio, Printmaking and Professional Practice.
