Fresh Gallery Otara presents 'Defining Sovereignty' an exhibition of new work from Manukau born visual artist Yazma Smith.
Yazma investigates a variety of ideas relating to the Treaty of Waitangi and sovereignty. Mangere Arts Centre presents two exhibitions. 'Raranga Rangatira' showcases contemporary and traditional Maori weaving from artists including Te Aue Davis, Maureen Lander and Shona Tawhiao.
Accompanying exhibition 'Kei Te Taimai Nei - Interaction' focuses on the interaction between European immigrants and tangata whenua on the shores of Aotearoa.
