Ross Gumbley's new play Happy Coupling is a farce. By that I mean it is one of those plays where people do silly things like dressing up in disguises, hiding behind curtains, dropping their undies, running in and out of rooms very fast and making lots of jokes about sex. Happy Coupling isn't just any old farce, though, it is a New Zealand farce with distinctly New Zealand characters dropping their undies and running in and out of rooms at a distinctly New Zealand stag party and hen night.
