A calm and reasoned polemic against the impossible range and fathomless amorality of corporate giants (the usual bogeys: Monsanto, Enron, Nike and, er, Kathy Lee Gifford), the enlightening and unmissable Canadian documentary The Corporation arrives after a few prophets and auspicious signs have heralded it - the bestseller success of anti-capitalism volumes No Logo and Fast Food Nation; those unexpected box-office hits Fahrenheit 9/11 and Super Size Me - but despite its deep and admirable commitment to the absolute, and often dry, truth, The Corporation could strike you as closer in spirit to The Matrix, or Dark City, or any film to have borrowed Philip K Dick's sci-fi-gnostic all-reality-is-evil-deception paranoia.
