An artist writing from Beirut daily...

Zena el-Khalil an artist living in Beirut has written an online diary through the war and now the aftermath. Her story has been picked up by The Guardian, and the BBC. She had recently contributed to the Imagining Ourselves project run by the International Museum of Women in San Francisco. Just prior to the war Zena was preparing as part of that project a group exhibition of 21 Lebanese young women artists of all cultural backgrounds. The theme was ironically around imagining a better future for Muslim women.
