The Alleluya Noise Festival is dedicated to Auckland's experimental/other music communities with a strong aim at being diverse and inclusive with support for musicians in our city.

It will be Auckland's largest festival of experimental music for 2005 with a line up of nearly 60 individual artists involved. Events will be as broadly ranged as to involved performances of experimental sound art, traditional Chinese folk music, energetic junkyard song deconstructing , film improvisations, demented brass concert bands, new instrumental inventions, giant improvised orchestras and more.

Image: Festival organiser Sam HamiltonFeaturing performers from throughout New Zealand, the festival aims to expose our healthy and internationally respected music community to Auckland's general public. For too long these artists, despite having earned recognition for their unique talents in the rest of the world, have been unrecognized in our own country.

While there is a healthy and vibrant ongoing scene for such music in Auckland, there isn't enough exposure or support from the general public so a large festival is needed to expose such music to a wider audience. 20-year-old Sam Hamilton took it upon himself to organise such a festival. A practising musician and artist, and already experienced in promotion, he created the Tumbling Strains series of concerts, and promoted Norwegian noise-rock act Del's recent Auckland gigs. Hamilton and his team have assembled some of the best experimental musicians from Auckland and New Zealand for this week long festival.

The festival will take place in Auckland over 7 days from June 16th to June 25th.

Almost all of the events will take place in various venues around K'rd.

For the sake of public accessibility, most events will be priced at $5
