Playwrights have been invited to apply for the Playmarket Playwrights' Studio 2008 in Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch.

Playwrights' Studio is an opportunity for writers to be guided through a rigorous re-writing process of their work, by a leading dramaturg, and have the opportunity to have their work presented in a professional theatre.Previous graduates include Elisabeth Easther, Simon O'Connor, Craig Thaine and Thomas Sainsbury.

Previous Dramaturgs include Renee, Fiona Samuel, Simon O'Connor and Gary Henderson.

The deadline for applications is 19 February 2008 and the Studio commences April-May 2008 and finishes November 2008.

Playwrights' Studio is open to all playwrights of excellence and preference will be given to playwrights who have not completed previous studios.

Playmarket is New Zealand's playwrights' agency and playwright and play development organisation with a focus on the development and representation of New Zealand playwrights and their plays.
