Congratulations to team Lense Flare, who came out tops in this year's 48Hours Furious Filmmaking Competition. Their film, Lease, was a wildcard entry chosen by Peter Jackson. The jaunty musical beat out regional finalists from Auckland, Hamilton, Gisborne, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Second place went to Christchurch finalists The Outwits for their Western-genre film Carboys and the Indian.
